Prompt: Consider and interpret the following quote. Identify and summarize the main idea. Responding to a statement Montag made, Faber says, “Three things are missing. Number one: do you know why books such as this are so important? They have quality. And what does the word “quality” mean? To me, it means texture; this book has pores. It has features… See why books are hated and feared? They show the pores in the face of life.”

I think that the main idea of this statement is that the books show the flaws of life. A quality book shows reality, which is not perfect once so ever. I think that in this futuristic world they are scared of flaws and being different. They try as hard as they can not to feel, and shield people from the true meaning of life. Which is, the beauty of the flaws.
